Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital is located within the grounds of the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. The Children’s hospital requires a new Audiology Department. Hive were commissioned to undertake the stage 3, 4 and 5 design services.

The project consists of the refurbishment of existing office and clinical spaces of the 4^th floor into a new audiology department. The new department consists of new soundproof booths and associated spaces to support the testing children’s hearing. New lighting and small power services were required. New cooling for the booths has been designed to meet the acoustic requirements. The main services circulation route has been modified due to the increased size of the main booths.
