We’re delighted to announce that our has been shortlisted at the UK Green Business Awards 2026.
The Cambridge University Press & Assessment – Triangle Heat Pump Project has been recognised in the Green Heat Project of the Year category, highlighting innovative projects that are helping to accelerate the transition to low carbon heating across the UK.
Delivered for Cambridge University Press & Assessment, and in collaboration with CPS Building Services, the scheme demonstrates how existing buildings can be successfully adapted to meet ambitious sustainability goals through carefully considered engineering design and close project coordination.
The project involved the construction of a new rooftop plantroom, together with associated façade extensions, creating the space required to accommodate a modern low-carbon heating solution while integrating sympathetically with the existing building.
At the heart of the upgrade was the installation of new air source heat pumps, buffer storage vessels, and associated distribution pipework. The entire scheme was fully coordinated in Revit, enabling efficient multidisciplinary collaboration and ensuring the new systems could be seamlessly integrated with the existing building services infrastructure.
A key outcome of the project was the successful transition away from fossil fuel heating, facilitating the removal of the existing gas boilers from site and supporting the client’s wider decarbonisation strategy.
This shortlisting recognises the commitment, expertise, and teamwork shown by everyone involved in delivering the project. We are proud to have supported Cambridge University Press & Assessment on this important scheme and to have worked alongside CPS Building Services to bring it to life.
We look forward to the awards ceremony and wish all finalists the best of luck.
